70 years ago, the US military carried out one of the most important invasions in human and military history.

Today is a good day to take note of that historical moment, honor those who gave their lives, and give gratitude to those still fighting for the cause of freedom.

Saying Goodbye to Maya Angelou — A Literary Icon

The world lost one of its most important authors this morning as Maya Angelou passed. If anyone has read her works, you know that she possessed incredible inspiration that came from a troubled youth.

I remember reading parts of ‘I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings’ and being totally enthralled with her poetry and writing.

And I remember being introduced to this quote: “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” which I still think about consistently in my interactions

Saw that another ZA posted this on her page earlier and wanted to share with everyone. It really is a great article.

Columnist Frank Bruni offers some sad new research on children’s reading habits and makes the case for improving these numbers.

As he points out from scientific research, “reading and intelligence have a relationship so close as to be symbiotic.”

History buffs woke up to some AMAZING news this morning — researchers think they’ve identified the ruin of Christopher Columbus’ flagship the Santa Maria!

You’ll probably remember the Santa Maria from your US History textbooks (along with the Nina and the Pinta!) — and this is some serious history geekdom here.

There’s a new startup that can help with client work popping up every week, so I try not to post them too often.

This one, however, could be a big help. Have a client who travels but uses both hotels and AirBnb apartment rentals?
